PEP is designed to aid pregnant and parenting students (male and female ) continue their education in junior high and high school. Placements in PEP are made through the campus counselors. High School PEP students are allowed to continue an abbreviated schedule of classes(core and electives) from their home school and retake any failed courses through CRP. High School students are allowed to attend classes on their home campus if necessary. Students are also allowed to receive and return assignments from their home campus especially if the class is not offered at their home campus. The students attend classes from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm daily, which allows for doctor’s appointments, WIC appointments, etc. in the afternoon. Child Care is available for PEP students at Carver Learning Center. Students also receive training and instruction on many issues concerning pregnancy, parenting and life skills.
