Dear Parents,

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Cactus Elementary, let me take this opportunity to welcome you to our school. We are excited about the new school year and look forward to becoming a part of your child's life. Our commitment is to provide your child with an excellent education.

Cactus maintains an outstanding academic program with a staff of 23 certified professionals, 4 teaching assistants, 1 secretary, 1 office clerk, 5 cafeteria employees and 3 custodians. We are a first through fourth grade campus with an enrollment of approximately 250 students. This enrollment includes all first through fourth grade ESL students in the district.

We would like to encourage you to become a part of our team. We know what a terrific impact each of us plays in the life of your child. In addition, a parent's attitude, expectations, and behaviors play a crucial role in a child's success at school. We ask your help and support in making sure that your child learn to take responsibility for his/her behavior; set realistically high expectations for behavior and academic performance; communicate and consult with the teacher on a regular basis; and, notify us of health or other problems which might interfere with school performance.
